GURO DAN INOSANTO SEMINAR
On May 15th & 16th the legendary Guro Dan Inosanto taught a two day seminar at Martial Arts Unlimited located in Clawson, MI. owned and operated by Chris Malgeri.
Hosted by Sifu David Hatch, owner of Attributive Martial Arts in Canton, MI., Guro Dan graciously taught the material requested by Sifu Dave. The first day was the Filipino Martial Arts, concentrating on the Single Stick, and the Stick & Knife combination (Espada Y Daga). The second day concentrated on the empty hand arts of Jun Fan Gung Fu, Panatukan and Silat.
With over 50 people in attendance the seminar was a great success. We at KSK would like to thank Sifu David Hatch for bringing in Guro Dan, and we would like to thank Sifu Chris Malgeri for opening up his school for this event. Together these two men make it possible for those in Michigan to have the opportunity to train with a living legend.

On May 22nd KSK Martial Arts held an In-House Workshop, open to the public, taught by Sensei-Guro T. Kent Nelson. This special event focused on aspects of the little known Okinawan art of Tuite' Jitsu, brought into the US by Okinawan master Taika Seiyu Oyata. Based around seizing the hand and locking the wrist, Tuite' can inflict extreme pain causing maximum compliance with minimal effort.
Everyone involved in the workshop, had a great time and learned not only the techniques, but also how to find and apply them in clinching, trapping and weapon work.

WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST STUDENT
We would like to officially welcome our newest student, Eric Thompson, into the KSK Martial Arts Family. Eric, who has been involved with martial arts throughout his life and holds an Apprentice Level in Modern Arnis, is not just a new student, but he is also an old friend. He and Guro T. Kent Nelson met over 19 years ago (7th grade) and had many good times together growing up, playing music, training martial arts and all the other debauchery that goes on during middle school and high school. It is good to see that martial arts has helped maintain a connection that has spanned almost two decades... Welcome to the family Eric.
